Until You Feel A Lot Better Than You Feel Right Now, You’ll Never Know How Unhealthy You’ve Become…And How Much Healthier You Can Be!

We get so used to feeling the way we feel that we don’t have any idea that’s it’s possible to feel a whole lot better than we do. We become so used to feeling the way we feel that we simply get used to it and accept that it’s just the way things have to be, which is hardly the case.

This is a really important point, and I’ve seen it come up hundreds of times in the years I’ve been providing care to patients. We get so used to feeling the way we feel that it’s a complete surprise when we suddenly begin feeling better than we ever have. We’re surprised because we just don’t know that it’s possible to feel so much better. And until we do, it’s impossible to realize just how much our health has been slowly, insidiously slipping away.

We accept the aches and pains, the poor sleep, the anxiety and worry, the neck and back tension, the gut issues, the declining energy levels, the sore knees, the weight gain that won’t go away, the reliance on medications, the high blood pressure and cholesterol issues, the food cravings, the brain fog and the autoimmune conditions; we accept all this as a normal part of life. We accept it as normal until we experience what it’s like to not have all of these types of issues as constant, familiar companions. Feeling bad isn’t normal, but it’s unfortunately very, very common.

Context And Contrast

It’s a matter of context and contrast. All of us have been through times in our lives when we were pretty stressed out, and it’s usually not until the stress subsides that we realize just how stressed we’d been. And so it goes with our health: we can’t feel how much we’re sliding when we’re still in the process of actively sliding downhill. We have to stop the decline and enter a rebuilding phase before we’re able to notice the difference between where we’ve been and where we’re heading.

But Wait: Can I Really Feel A Lot Better? Really?

The short answer to this question is yes. Yes, you can feel a lot better than you feel right now, regardless if you feel good to begin with or you’re frustrated to the max from having tried everything under the sun with no lasting results. Yes, it’s very possible to feel better than you currently feel.
